Eight and Six

I love September. Not only because it is the beginning of -BER months but there's also tons of birthday celebration in store at Le Mister's side of the family and all of them are so dear to my heart. Oh! and don't get me started on the cakes -- we're huge cake fans around here.

Last Saturday, we celebrated Andre's 6th birthday. Destiny turns 8 , 5 days after so their mommies decided to have a double celebration.

It was super fun! There were games for both kids and grown-ups!  I'm quite happy that  even  Le Mister whole 'heartedly' participated on them games when Andre called his name. He was the first one out though  which got us all thinking that he did it on purpose. At least he participated, right? TX won the longest greeting game! well -- him and his other cousin. I think he got 9 secs and I shouted 13 secs. *grins* .  Atreyu was not in the mood before the party because he really wanted to eat fries at that time but he patiently waited, probably because his Papa said so.

Longest Happy Birthday greeting game
'Cheese burger game' with the gents
one bored crowd. hehe...

A little side note: TX had his very first birthday party at McDonald's as well and we were hoping to get Ronald McDonald to show up but he was busy at that time so they had Grimace -- TX of course couldn't remember Grimace from his first birthday party but who would have thought that they'd meet again after five years.
First degree cousins.
The afternoon was filled with laughter, ice cream and people who are close to the two -- I can really say both felt very pretty special.

We take our cakes seriously around here. hehe

Us. Just look at TX's face. pfffft.

A Few Things.

Why hello there! I just thought I'd share some stuff here before I forget this space (again). Trust me, I've been meaning to get back at what I really love doing ( aside from sleeping...) and that is writing. They say the best way to be good at writing is to...hold it..duh...keep on writing! Well, I know you know that. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to get my groove back on this little hobby of mine.

Well that was a long intro was it? Ok. Three things.

One:
MXPX is coming to town! I've been a fan, well not really that much of a fan but I can say that they are one of the very first bands that I listen to and got me interested with punk music and I never looked back.  I remember I used to 'borrow' my brother's cassette tape of the album  Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo just to listen to it the whole afternoon while he's at school. Good times.  I just wish my brothers are here with me to share the experience and them friends too -- Makoi, Dorai, Lou, Mayet, Rob *sigh.

Two:
Foster the People is in town too. Ughh. I don't know if I'm going to be excited, sad, disappointed or what. I can't afford to spend big bucks on 2 concerts tickets in one month -- I mean I've already missed NOFX and sadly, Taking Back Sunday -- but hopefully they'll be back and I can't afford to miss MXPX this time -- watching it for my folks that're not here. It's really not that big of a deal. Foster the People is Foster the People -- sigh. But like I always say, they'll be back.

Three:
I saw the trailer of The Perks of Being a Wallflower the other day and liked it! love the OST , some friends at work love the book and emailed the PDF file to me, so hopefully I'll finish that next week. One thing that got me excited to see the movie is that it's got the same producers as the movie Juno which is one of my favorite movies of all time.

So, there you go! A few things that I am excited about and keeping me motivated. It wasn't that bad was it? Later.

So much better.

I was going back and forth on  whether or not I'll post some stuff here again. This blog was created at the time when I got tons of inspiration on hand and I'm not saying that 3 years after that I'm uninspired, in fact it was the exact opposite. Life has been, shall i say, hectic lately -- and I'm not complaining! I'm not sure if I'll post here regularly -- I love my Tumblr because it's so easy to post there and I'm not obliged to write a whole entry.  Anyhooser, let's try this one more time shall we?

catching up on romance

its been awhile since the husband and i went out and spent time with each other..i just started working again ( after a year's off ) and his out-of-town and weekend shoots are piling up..so one Wednesday night we decided to take a break and spent the whole night (well not really the whole night coz i went to work anyway) at Eastwood and treated ourselves to some frozen delights at Haagen Dasz... then this other night we ate at our favorite pizza place at Fazolis ..their chicken and pesto platter are to die-for! the husband ordered his regular fave putanesca ..their drinks are bottomless at 50bux and its got unlimited tasty and warm and chewy and oh-so-very delicious bread sticks! yep! and its unlimited! ..

its soooo refreshing to go out with just me and the hubby...hes been sooo generous lately.. very GENEROUS..hehehe...he bought me these zebra top and boxer shorts at a flea market at Eastwood...well technically i bought it ( AT A CHEAP PRICE!) but it was his money though..hehehe.. thanks love!

always. sometimes. never.

i always:
wish i have a HUGE closet
am a sucker for icecream and my HUSBAND
find it amazing when TX does a trick
DAYDREAM
eat oats and cereals for breakfast ( when i have the time)
would choose sleeping over eating ( even if im sooo hungry )
think flowers are overrated

I sometimes:

doubt myself
worry that somebody i care about would die
wish i live closer to my mom
regret that i stopped writing for 6 years ( i used to be a GOOD writer - hah! )
like to wear my husband's shirts
procastinate

I never:

thought of changing my name ( i LOVE it, thanks mom! )
wish i was somebody else
imagined that i would be blessed with two pretty boys
had a good hair day...pppffttt.
finished a book...if i like the book i would read it then when i get bored reading it i would go directly to the last chapter and know the ending...i never get to read the once in between..hehehe...

happy days are here!

hello!
two reasons for me to be happy, one - this is my first official post ( yay! ) and two, its September! this marks the beginning of Christmas season ( i think.. ) and i am starting to feel giddy about the whole thing! Just yesterday, I was half awake when the husband was watching news on tv and there was a choir at the background singing familiar Christmas carols, i wish I can remember what it was but then again i was groggy when i saw it. Then when i wake up at about 10am TX was watching spongebob's xmas episode ( mr. krabbs and squidward became santas for a day ) I thought to myself this is it! its the start of Christmas! I don't know if this makes sense but for me Christmas isn't just a day where you open your presents and eat endless fruit cakes but isnt it suppose to be a whole season like from September when like me, you start to feel giddy and happy and excited that its almost Christmas! (hehehe...) its also the start of the -BER months and we'd have long nights and shorts days ahead! October where you go trick-or- treat and for those who have kiddos at home you get to dress 'em up with fancy or funny costumes!..also, some bazaars and flea markets start to open at this month. November - its when you spend the whole day and have picnic at the cemetery with your loved ones who passed away..and December..woaohww...its the busiest time of the year really...people rushing to all those mall wide sales or office/school parties ,reunions etc.
So ...im really not that excited for December 25 to arrive, it can come later ...I still have loads of dates to look forward to and tons of stuff to do to make that day just as perfect as last year.

later!
