Ten Things: awesome prints

Here's another round up for the week, starshine! I hope you're happy wherever you are.

I can't, for the life of me, remember where I've seen these pretty images ... but I am mighty sure that majority of these were taken from--- Nadyne x Karey --- two awesome blogs that I sorely adore.

Lagare.

October 27,2012 --- I know. I'm so bad at keeping track but let me just share what happened on this day and I can't even believe how I managed to enjoy every minute of it!

Saturday was considered as a Friday shift --- mine was from 4:00am to 1:00pm, did my usual routine --monitoring calls, catching up with emails etc. Saturday usually isn't that busy and tiring since it's the last shift for the week. My officemates we're planning to hit karaoke, I passed because I was on to some mommy duties that afternoon.

pretty ladies at work

Ailes and Ana -- we somehow make things 'bearable' for each other.

So after work --- I head straight to Mega Mall for Cartoon Network's Heroes Hunt. My sister in law told me about the event -- she was the one who bought the head pieces for Finn and Jake. The Ninjas went as Finn and Jake, along with their pretty cousin, Destiny who dressed up as  Princess Bubblegum.

we saw Spongebob while checking out some toys at Toy Kingdom right after the event
Kuya Tx found a shoe!

First booth
So we entered this maze and we're suppose to pass each booth to get prizes from the sponsors.

We had so much fun at the event. We met some familiar Ben 10 aliens and other kids that're dressed up as Adventure Time characters, there was even a Marceline! -- I was jealous. We weren't able to visit every booth only because some of them ran out of prizes and there were way too many kids and parents. I can really say that some parents were far more excited than their kiddos --- which was kind of cool.  Almost three hours later, the Ninjas were ready to go home.

And you think that was it. Lucky for me, I have the coolest set of in laws ever! specially my mother in law -- she knows how we love to hang out and eat and drink beer together so she treated us to an Octoberfest event at a hotel where they usually spend their weekends at. So we checked in. Had dinner. Hang out for a bit with the kiddos and watched some horror films -- Kuya TX cried a LOT ...and Trey was like just cool. I fell asleep for like 15 or 20 minutes beside kuya TX. Le husband woke me up and said that we're heading to the event. I freshened up a bit --- was too tired to put on some make up --- wore a maroon dress versus a scarf --- hair down and I was set.
passes
And below are just some Photobooth fun --- yep! can't leave an event without it!

We finished at around 4:00am. Kuya TX woke up around 6:00am because he wanted to swim so I got up and took him and Ate Des for a quick swim at the pool. We played a little at the playground. Went back to our hotel room -- Trey and his Papa are still sleeping. We head to Koi Restaurant for their breakfast buffet. Head back to the room and chill for a bit with the rest.

Finally ... went home.
Le mister went out to skate.
Spent the rest of the Sunday afternoon on our cozy bed cuddling with my Ninjas.
What a weekend.
Right...the title? Lagare --- that was the 'word of the day' for me and that's exactly what I did that Saturday. Lagare, it's a Tagalog term as an adjective, it is synonymous to "having a hectic schedule" or "being busy".
One should never be too busy specially if it's for their family , definitely family.

Someone once told me...

Think about this, forget the people, the issues, forget those elements.

Think about what you want, then think about how to get it.

You want to transfer, right? I already told you how to do it.

Elevate yourself from those whiners who just whine thinking that everything will fall into place.

You are better than them Ana, trust me, I know these things.

I have to 'hide' the third line ... but Imna just put this here to remind me every time it gets shitty.

This Charming Movie : Turn Left, Turn Right

Hello there! So today I am sharing another category or entry or segment ( I honestly don't have a word for it -- or can't figure out which to use) I used to have on my Tumblr --

Anyhoo, you ever have that experience where you see a movie and it's just too relatable and unforgettable and you just can't find the right words /phrase to describe it to your friends and then you'd just end up naming some actors that're in it and then you'll just tell them ---- you just got to see it. Yeah ..that ..happens to me all the time. I am bad at reviews and I really don't pay too much attention to technicalities and what not so I figured what better way to share my favorite movies than with pictures on 'em , favorite lines from the movie and lastly the trailer. I think I've already featured more than 5 movies on my Tumblr that are just charming.

So I saw this movie on HBO one sunny morning in the comfort of our home. TX was at school at that time and Trey was busy playing so I got the TV all to myself. I was surfing the channel and I was curious on why HBO would air an Asian Film -- little did I know this is the first Chinese-language Asian film ever from Warner Bros. The movie really didn't have such memorable lines in it but what struck me the most is the poem recited and translated by Leung ( the female protagonist ) it's called Love at First Sight by  famous Polish poet -- Wisława Szymborska and it goes ---

You may click here to read the poem.
And on to some of my favorite scenes/stills from the movie.

There's far too many charming scenes from the movie , especially the one's spent at the park. Oh! and heart breaking scenes too --- oh my... you have got to see it. Here's the trailer.
